Community First is an Angus based Not for Profit Social Enterprise run by two local women. Their aim is to support local community groups and organisations with an emphasis on their digital needs. Carol and Pauline have already helped several local groups including Contact the Elderly Angus who approached Community First to set up a Facebook page in order to reach out to the general public, publicise their organisation and help communicate with their co-ordinators. As a Not for Profit, any money raised, generated and donated goes back into the organisation and is redistributed in a way that creates value within communities. Contact the Elderly. One Sunday afternoon a month, throughout the UK, Contact the Elderly groups meet for tea and companionship. These groups are a lifeline of friendship for isolated older people. Each older guest is assigned a volunteer driver and together they become part of a small group invited to a volunteer hosts’ home for tea. They visit a different host each month but the group remains the same and relationships grow. A warm welcome; a family home; meeting old friends and new, provides older members with companionship and a vital link with the community from which they have become isolated. This simple idea is the essence of Contact the Elderly. Visit our table and find out more.
Elemental in Cumberland Close is Kirriemuirs fully Fair Trade Shop offering customers a local option to purchase ethically made adult and childrens clothing, accessories, and gifts at realistic prices. During the past 100 years science and technology has discovered and made possible many wonderful innovations, but has also changed our lifestyle beyond recognition - creating previously unimaginable stresses on our planets resources, species and people. We believe that acknowledging how the things we want and need are made is important. Fair Trade addresses issues concerning where raw materials for manufacture come from, who provides the labour to produce the things we buy, how we use energy and recycle our waste products. We care about looking after our planet and leaving a healthier situation for the next generations. While we know we cannot change everything overnight, every small choice to buy as ethically as possible will help in redressing the balance and moving toward creating a more sustainable future. Please come and chat to us at Feel Good, and check out some of our hand crafted stock.

Kirriemuir Thistle Community Sports Club KTCSC is an exciting new concept which will contribute to the well being of all residents of Kirriemuir and Dean who wish to participate. Although our initial objectives are to provide a high quality sporting venue and develop sporting performance in all sports, this will expand to make significant contribution to the wider community in areas such as physical health, mental health, child poverty, child and adult obesity and environmental issues. The intention is to use sport as the vehicle to develop a new approach to community support. This will take the form of a multi agency and sports clubs collaboration

We have worked through qualifications. We will be providing soup and fruit cups and will have shortbreads and cupcakes and will be happy to receive donations.
